<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power management system efficiently reducing total power consumption in a plurality of image forming apparatuses, and also efficiently keeping and managing the plurality of image forming apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: When there are a plurality of candidate image forming apparatuses that are to be turned ON, a CPU refers to an MFP wear-out degree table and obtains wear-out degree of each candidate. Then, the CPU determines whether there is any candidate of which wear-out degree is lower than a prescribed lower threshold value or not. If there is a candidate of which wear-out degree is lower than the prescribed lower threshold value, the CPU determines the image forming apparatus as the object to be powered ON. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
