PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of improving its viewing angle characteristic of luminance with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: a data line D and a gate line G extending so as to intersect to each other; a pixel 10 configured of sub-pixels 10A, 10B having liquid crystal elements 12A, 12B of VA mode and auxiliary capacitive elements 13A, 13B; TFT elements 11A, 11B provided respectively corresponding to the sub-pixels 10A, 10B, and for display-driving the liquid crystal elements 12A, 12B; and an auxiliary capacitive line CL connected respectively to the auxiliary capacitive elements 13A, 13B. The auxiliary capacitive elements 13A, 13B are connected remote-controlledly to the TFT elements 11A, 11B, together with the liquid crystal elements 12A, 12B, and the liquid crystal elements 12A, 12B include liquid crystal molecules different in pretilted angles, between the sub-pixels 10A, 10B.
