<p>An allocation unit (112) defines a plurality of sub channels which have been multiplexed by a frequency division and symmetrically allocate two or more sub channels in a downstream line and an upstream line for at least one terminal device. The allocation unit (112) includes a discontinuous sub channel for each of the downstream line and the upstream line. A modulation unit (103) and a transmission unit (102) transmit a multicarrier signal to a terminal device. A reception unit (104) and a demodulation unit (105) receive a single carrier signal from the terminal device. The reception unit (104) and the demodulation unit (105) use at least one continuous sub channel while performing switching among two or more sub channels in the upstream line.</p> |
