FABRICATION METHOD OF LARGE-SIZED ELECTROLYTE-CONTAINING ELECTRODES FOR MCFC

A fabrication method of large-sized electrolyte-containing electrodes for MCFC is provided to prevent the bending of an electrode according to contraction due to cooling of electrolyte, to maintain structural stability, to protect elements from mechanical impact and to prevent gas leakage of wet seal part. A fabrication method of large-sized electrolyte-containing electrodes for MCFC comprises the steps of dipping electrolyte into pores of a porous electrode(4) by melting electrolyte; and cooling the electrode where electrolyte is dipped, by controlling a cooling speed to 0.1 ~ 1°C/minute. In the electrolyte dipping step and cooling step, an electrode is pressed by using a plate(1). The plate is metal or ceramics which is stable at a temperature of 500 ~ 650°C.
