<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal photo-alignment agent which is superior in liquid crystal alignment, electric characteristic, printability, cleaning stability, and stability against staining, and can uniaxially align liquid crystal through ultraviolet exposure. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the liquid crystal photo-alignment agent that includes at least one of polyamic acid copolymers having mutually different specified structures and polyimide copolymers thereof in a repeating unit shown by chemical formula (1). In chemical formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>is a quadrivalent organic group derived from carboxylic anhydride selected from a group of cycloaliphatic carboxylic anhydride and aromatic carboxylic anhydride, and R<SB>2</SB>is a bivalent organic group derived from diamine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
