PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cleaning the interior of a waste liquid incinerator, and performing removal work for deposit while the waste liquid incinerator is continuously operated for a long period, and also in a simple manner. SOLUTION: This method includes: a process 1 of stopping the supply of a waste liquid from a waste liquid tank 8 to a waste liquid burner 12; a process 2 of supplying water vapor from water vapor generating equipment 33 to the waste liquid burner 12; and a process 3 of stopping the supply of air to the waste liquid burner 12. It does not matter what is the order of the process 2 and the process 3. After each process, the state is maintained for 45-90 seconds, more preferably for 60 seconds (a process 4), whereby the temperature in the periphery (and above) the waste liquid burner 12 in the waste liquid incinerator 1 is gradually elevated up to 850°C or more. Thus, deposits mainly composed of sodium carbonate (and sodium sulfate) are molten, separated from the inner wall of the waste liquid incinerator 1 to drop, and removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
