PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nano structure material, by which the nano structure material having a regular arrangement of nano scale can easily be produced. SOLUTION: This method for producing the nano structure material is characterized by comprising a raw material solution-preparing process for dissolving a block copolymer prepared by binding a polymer block component A and a polymer block component B to each other which are mutually not miscible, and an inorganic precursor capable of being coordinated in the polymer block component A but incapable of being coordinated in the polymer block component B, in a solvent to prepare a raw material solution, and a nano structure-forming process for self-organizing a polymer phase 1A comprising the inorganic precursor-coordinated polymer block component A and a polymer phase 1B comprising the polymer block component B to form a regularly arranged nano phase-separated structure 10. In addition, the inorganic precursor is converted into an inorganic component to obtain an organic/inorganic nano structure material 20 comprising an inorganic component-containing polymer phase 2A and a polymer phase 2B.
