PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproducing system which can continue to dub from an interruption portion later on even if a dubbing to a removable recording medium is interrupted. SOLUTION: Intrinsic information of the removable recording medium such as a DVD, etc., information indicating the progress of the interrupted dubbing and information for specifying the dubbed data are stored as a dubbing interruption history so as to correlate with each other. When the intrinsic information of the recording medium obtained from a recording device is included in the dubbing interruption history, the interrupted dubbing is restarted by use of the correlated information.
