The device (10) has an exhaust valve (14) pivotably supported on a flap shaft. A control device (18) is provided for pivoting the exhaust valve, where the control device is mechanically stayed in effective connection with the flap shaft. The control device is adjustably arranged relative to the flap shaft, where the control device is adjustably arranged on a guiding element (24). An adjusting element (28) i.e. set screw, is provided for adjusting a relative position of the control device and the guiding element. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting an exhaust flap device.
