Disclosed is a hinge apparatus which can control locking operation with respect to opening/closing of two cases without using a button or the like for unlocking. The hinge apparatus is provided with a first case (2), a second case (3), a first hinge shaft (5) for rotatably holding the first case (2), and a second hinge shaft (6) which rotatably holds the second case (3) and extends in parallel with the first hinge shaft (5). Locking and unlocking of rotation of the second case (3) to the second hinge shaft (6) at a prescribed angle is controlled by a prescribed relative rotation of the first case (2) to the second case (3).
