A particulate media blasting nozzle silencer comprises a length of sound deadening rubber/ elastomeric-based material tubing releasably securable to the outlet region of the nozzle. The internal wall of the tubing may be coat ed with or provided with an insert of a wear-resistant material to extend the life of the tubing.
