An air bag cushion tether is provided to improve safety of passengers by preventing breast and back injury due to the explosion of air bag. An air bag cushion tether comprises an inflator(60), a tether(30), a guide unit(40), and a stopper(50). The inflator injects gas into a cushion(20) upon vehicle collision. The tether is installed inside an air bag cushion to control deployment of the cushion. In the guide unit installed on the back side of the cushion, a central part(35) of the tether is arranged around the injection port of the inflator so as to control the deployment direction. The stopper is arranged in the central part of the tether and reduces the length of the tether in order to decrease the frontward inflation force when gas is injected into the cushion. |
