The present invention relates to a coated cemented carbide insert (cutting tool), particularly useful for wet or dry machining of steels and stainless steels. The cutting tool insert is characterised by a cemented carbide substrate and a coating comprising a 0.5 to 5 µm thick innermost layer of (Ti,Al)N and a 1 to 5 µm thick layer of (Al,Cr) 2 O 3 . |
