<p>The device (10) has a casing brake (14) from which filled sausages (W) pass out. A finger-type deflecting member (12) is arranged with respect to the brake in such a manner that the sausages passing out from the brake reach a sausage filling system along with the deflecting member and experience a change in direction. A supporting member (19) accommodates the brake, where the deflecting member is fixed at the supporting member. A position of the deflecting member is adjustable with respect to the brake.
