MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR HANDOVER

A mobile terminal and handover method for using mobile networks in which a connection procedure is different are provided to supply a used service to a user by performing handover between wireless networks according to the selection of the mobile terminal. A network selecting unit(11) selects one of a mobile network and WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network). The network selecting unit uses the network interface identifier of the selected network and performs handover. An IP mobility manager(13) registers IP(Internet Protocol) is allocated from the selected network in handover. The IP mobility procedure is performed and the packet data is received through the selected network.
