A power supply device of an ATM and a power supply method are provided to reduce capacity of a main power device by supplying a power from a battery after blocking a main power in case a current amount consumed according to operations of an ATM is more than a fixed value. A power supply device of an ATM(Automatic Teller Machine) includes a main power, a battery, a current detecting sensor, a control part, and a switch. The main power(100) supplies a power to the ATM. The battery(200) supplies a current to the ATM instead of the main power in case a current amount consumed according to operations of an ATM is more than a fixed value. The current detecting sensor(302) is installed inside the ATM, and measures a current amount inside the ATM. The control part receives the current amount value measured from the current detecting sensor, compares the measured current amount with allowable capacity of the main power, and controls the switch(301) according to a compared result. |
