IMAGE DISTORTION CORRECTION

A method and a system for reducing or removing distortion of an image are provided to improve image quality of a camera system using a simple lens system by quantifying image distortion. Distortion information related to a lens system is determined and stored(320). An image captured by the lens system is processed by referring to the distortion information(330). A corrected image of which image distortion is reduced is generated by comparing with the captured image.
