The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring appearance quality of milled rice and brown rice, in which a ratio of head rice, chalky rice, broken rice, colored rice and cracked rice, which are included in a certain amount of rice, and a ratio of head brown rice, chalky brown rice, broken rice, colored brown rice, and immature brown rice, which are included in brown rice, can be determined automatically. In order to obtain high determination accuracy in a short time in evaluating the appearance quality of milled rice and brown rice, several tens of pieces of milled rice or brown rice are supplied at once instead of supplying milled rice or brown rice by a piece of grain, the pieces of milled rice or brown rice are contained in one sheet of an image, and the appearance quality of each piece of the grain is analyzed in a software manner through computer image processing. |
