A convection system and cooking appliance are provided to cook more efficiently by relatively increasing the quantity of hot air circulating in a cooking room by using a plurality of convection fans. A cooking appliance(1) includes a cavity(11), a convection chamber, a convection heater, first and second convection fans, a convection motor, and a power transmission unit. The cavity includes a cooking room(12). The convection chamber is connected with the cooking room. The convection heater heats air moved to the convection chamber. The first and second convection fans are provided to the convection chamber. The convection motor simultaneously drives the first and second convection fans. The power transmission unit transfers the power of the convection motor to the first and second convection fans. The first convection fan rotates in the same rotation direction as that of the convection motor. The second convection fan rotates in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the convection motor.
