PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining an image meeting user's needs. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus reads color original documents one by one (S12) and generates color image data and monochromatic image data from a read color original document (S13) and then displays the color image data and the monochromatic image data on a display screen simultaneously (S14). When one of the color image data and the monochromatic image data displayed on the display screen is selected (S15), the selected color image data or monochromatic image data are edited (S16 and S19).
