<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately raise back pressure during a low water temperature condition and the like in a control device of a turbocharger limiting operation of a variable nozzle mechanism using a stopper. <P>SOLUTION: In the control device of the turbocharger, a first stopper is constructed in such a manner that the first stopper can regulate a close position of the variable nozzle mechanism, a second stopper is constructed in such a manner that the second stopper can regulate the closed position of the variable nozzle mechanism at closed side more than the closed position regulated by the first stopper, and the control means executes control to regulate the closed position of the variable nozzle mechanism by either of the first stopper or the second stopper. To put it concretely, the control means regulates the closed position of the variable nozzle mechanism by the second stopper when operation is in a low water temperature light load zone. Consequently, back pressure due to the turbocharger can be raised and misfire can be appropriately prevented during the low water temperature condition and the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
