PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength conversion device, attaining high wavelength conversion efficiency and obtaining a beam of a shape close to a circle. SOLUTION: This wavelength conversion device includes: two nonlinear optical crystals 1A, 1B for wavelength conversion; and a lens 6B disposed between the two nonlinear optical crystals 1A, 1B. A harmonic laser beam 3B of a fundamental wave laser beam 3 is generated. The two nonlinear optical crystals 1A, 1B are arranged in series, the respective walkoff directions generated in the two nonlinear optical crystals 1A, 1B are the same direction with respect to the optical axis of the fundamental wave laser beam 3. A nonlinear optical crystal 1B disposed at the post-stage is disposed away from a lens 6B beyond the focal distance of the lens 6B. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
