An agent for amplifying hematopoietic stem cells and/or hematopoietic progenitor cells which is useful as a method for treating various hematopoietic diseases and is useful for improving efficiency of gene transfer to hematopoietic stem cells in gene therapy is provided. A method for amplifying hematopoietic stem cells and/or hematopoietic progenitor cells characterized by culturing hematopoietic stem cells and/or hematopoietic progenitor cells in vitro in the presence of a compound represented by the formula (I) (wherein X, Y, Z, Ar1, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are defined in the description), a tautomer thereof, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a solvate thereof.
