A washing machine and a control method are provided to perform a quick completion mode by a microcomputer only when inputting the quick completion mode during a laundering process. A washing machine control method makes an operating process step once a quick completion mode is inputted. And then washing machine performs the quick completion mode set up in advance according to the process which is operating. If it is a laundering process(340), a cleaning process is interrupted and the quick completion mode successively performing a rinsing process and dehydration process(350,360 and 370) is performed.
