PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve heat exchange performance of an outdoor unit by further efficiently utilizing drain water discharged from an indoor unit. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit for an air conditioner includes a heat exchanger 5 and a water guide passage 9 for guiding drain water toward the heat exchanger. The water guide passage 9 has a drain water receiving part 91 for receiving inflow of the drain water and a drain water guide passage 92 extended downward from the drain water receiving part 91 with a gradient in the width direction of the heat exchanger 5 to guide the drain water flowing out from the drain water receiving part 91 to the heat exchanger 5.
