PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device which can reduce loss when each semiconductor switching element constituting upper and lower arms is turned on. SOLUTION: A switching device includes a parallel circuit having a resistive element and a capacitive element connected in parallel between the collector and emitter, and switching elements Q1 and Q2 each having a Zener diode provided between the parallel circuit and the collector and a reverse-current preventive diode provided between the parallel circuit and the collector, and further includes a circuit A1 for transmitting a detection signal of a recovery surge generated in a diode D1 between the collector and emitter of the switching element Q1 to the drive circuit H2 of the switching element Q2, and a circuit A2 for transmitting a detection signal of a recovery surge generated in a diode D2 between the collector and emitter of the switching element Q2 to the drive circuit H1 of the switching element Q1.
