PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unbalance correcting device capable of smoothing the surface after being worked of a rotor for a motor generator, and working the rotor so as to have lower agitation resistance, while improving the rotational balance of the rotor. SOLUTION: Since temporary cutting positions and temporary cutting volumes of the rotor which are cut so as to be in balance during its rotation are calculated temporarily (step S12), the cutting positions and the cutting volumes of the rotor are corrected by taking the mass of a filling agent to be put in hollow parts produced by cutting the rotor into account (steps S13 and S14), and the filling agent is put in the hollow parts produced by the cutting (step S15), the worked rotor surface can be made smoother while improving the rotor balance, and working of the rotor capable of reducing its agitation resistance becomes possible.
