摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance detection sensor capable of preventing leakage of an electrically conductive layer from each detection unit and detecting a substance with high accuracy, by forming the electrically conductive layers in the detection units to have a uniform thickness. SOLUTION: A base insulating layer 2 is formed. On the base insulating layer 2, conductor patterns 8 each composed of a pair of wires 6 are formed. On the base insulating layer 2, a cover insulating layer 9, having openings 14 through which a portion of each conductor pattern 8 is exposed, is formed. Moreover, the portions exposed through the openings 14 are formed as detection units 3. The detection units 3 are divided from one another by weir portions 4 formed by the inner edge of each opening 14, and each detection unit 3 is filled with an electrically conductive layer 7. The detection units 3 prevent leakage of the electrically conductive layers 7 by the weir portions 4, and the electrically conductive layers 7 are formed so as to have a uniform thickness.
