<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus for decrypting a plurality of pieces of encrypted content data in parallel with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In the information processing apparatus, two I/O processors ((A), (B)) 6 compete for the acquisition of the right of use of a scramble key generating device 8A detachably stored in a housing part 8. A content viewing program 100 requests the I/O processor (B) 6 to acquire the right of use of the scramble key generating device 8A to generate key data to be used for encryption release of the encrypted content data while buffering the encrypted content data input from I/O processors ((C), (D)) 7.
