PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the whole image forming device stops not to allow use thereof even in a temporary communication trouble, when a communication error is generated between respective units, and a problem wherein the whole image forming device stops not to allow use thereof when only one part of units in the device gets to a use-incapable state, in the image forming device comprising a main control part (main device unit) and sub-units. SOLUTION: This image forming device includes a function for analyzing a content of the error and for requesting retransmission of a data to a communication mate, based on an analytical result therein, when the error is generated in communication between the main control part and the sub-unit, and a function for requesting a reset of the communication to the communication mate, in respective communication parts of the main control part and the sub-units.
