A liquid crystal alignment agent is provided to ensure excellent long period reliability, high voltage holding ratio, stable pretilt angle maintenance, excellent liquid crystal orientation and chemical resistance, and to be easily removed by using solvent in the rework. A liquid crystal alignment agent comprises a polysiloxane polymer and solvent. The polysiloxane polymer is prepared by polymerizing a compound represented by chemical formula 1: Si(R1)4 and a compound represented by chemical formula 2: (R3)3Si-(R2)n-Si(R3)3. In chemical formula 1, four R1s are any one substituent selected from the group consisting of independently, hydroxyl C1-5 alkoxy group and C6-12 aryloxy group. In chemical formula 2, R2 is C1-8 alkylene group or fluoroalkylene group and C6-12 arylene group or fluoroarylene group; n is an integer of 0-8; and six R3s are any one substituent selected from the group consisting of independently, hydroxy, C1-5 alkoxy group, and C6-12 aryloxy group.
