<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which exhibits excellent coating applicability to a water-based ink and superb ink absorbability and water resistance, and a method for manufacturing it, as well as an inkjet recording method featuring the inhibition of image feathering and intercolor mixing. <P>SOLUTION: This recording medium is composed of a base paper, a first layer containing a binder and a second layer containing a white pigment and a water-soluble polyvinyl acetal, successively laminated in that order. In addition, the cup water absorption for 120 sec. contact time by the water absorption test complying with JIS P8140 on the surface of the first layer of the base paper where the first layer is formed, is not more than 2.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>, while the water absorption for 0.5 sec. contact time by the Bristow process on the surface of the second layer, is not less than 2 mL/m<SP>2</SP>to not more than 8 mL/m<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
