<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which aδ-hydroxy-β-keto ester derivative and an optically active substance thereof are economically produced with good purity. <P>SOLUTION: A 2-halo-2-methyl-3-oxobutyric acid ester derivative represented by general formula (4) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>represents a hydrogen atom, a 1-8C alkyl group, or a phenyl group which may be substituted; R<SP>2</SP>represents a 1-8C alkyl group, a 2-8C alkenyl group, a 2-8C alkynyl group, or a phenyl group which may be substituted; and X represents a halogen atom) is reacted with an aldehyde represented by general formula (5): R<SP>3</SP>CHO (wherein, R<SP>3</SP>represents a hydrogen atom, a 1-8C alkyl group, a 2-8C alkenyl group, a 2-8C alkynyl group, or a phenyl group which may be substituted) in the presence of a Lewis acid and a base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
