<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a printing apparatus, a control method therefor, and a program capable of providing a printing environment in which both execution of print jobs and security are excellently secured. <P>SOLUTION: First print setting information about a document file to be printed is received from the printing apparatus via a network to analyze the first print setting information. On the basis of the result of analysis, divided document files obtained by dividing the document file into data each to be output on one recording sheet, are generated. Second print setting information in which the first print setting information is overwritten so that a result of printing by the document file before division becomes the same as a result of printing by divided document file is generated. The generated divided document file is encrypted to generate an encrypted divided document file.
