PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the service life of a cutting blade used in a cutting device for cutting a sheet material so as to reduce a replacement frequency of the cutting blade, and also to improve cutting speed and cutting accuracy. SOLUTION: Blades 18a and 18b are linearly formed on both side surfaces of the cutting blade 9 of the sheet material cutting device 1 automatically cutting the sheet material 15 placed on a cutting table 2 by the vertically moving cutting blade 9 in accordance with the pattern set in advance.
