<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect the position of a plunger in an electromagnetic actuator. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic actuator controller includes a coil (210) which is wound; a plunger (220) inserted in the coil (210), a current output means (110) for driving the plunger by feeding the coil with electricity; a current generating means (120) for performing pulse width modulation control on the continuity of electricity so that current, concerning the continuity of electricity is made uniform in time average; an induced voltage specifying means (150) for specifying the induced voltage caused by drive of the plunger; an inductance calculation means (170) for computing the inductance of the coil, when the specified induced voltage is zero; and a position detection means (180) for detecting the position of the plunger, based on the computed inductance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
