PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for printing a pattern in which a high resolution portion and a low resolution portion exists in a mixed manner, such as a black matrix and a frame part of a color filter, wherein the printing is conducted accurately without any lack of pattern at one time. SOLUTION: The printing method in which an ink is applied on a blanket to form an ink film in a pre-dried condition and an ink film of an image portion pattern is then formed on the blanket by pressing a removing plate to the ink film in the pre-dried condition, the removing plate having a projecting portion of a non-image part pattern and a recessed portion of the image portion pattern formed thereon, comprises: arranging powders at the recessed portion of the removing plate beforehand; pressing the removing plate to the ink film in the pre-dried condition; transferring the powders onto the ink film in the pre-dried condition; and transcribing an image pattern structured by the ink film in the pre-dried condition containing the powders to a surface of an intended printing substrate.
