A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display including the same capable of driving a regional segmentation are provided to improve the wire design limitation of a printed circuit board on which a light emitting diode is mounted. A backlight unit(110) comprises a printed circuit board, and a light emitting diode. The printed circuit board is made of a cotton type. The light emitting diode is mounted on the printed circuit board. The adjacent side of a plurality of printed circuit boards and an unevenness pattern is formed. The unevenness pattern goes in gear between the adjacent sides of a plurality of printed circuit boards. The unevenness pattern comprises a protrusion unit and a concave unit. |
