PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens unit having a pedestal having such a structure being suitable for storing a piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: This zoom lens unit 1 includes a lens-barrel 3, a group 7 of second lenses, a group 9 of third lenses, a first guide shaft 11, a second guide shaft 13, and the pedestal 4. The pedestal 4 includes a main body 61, a lid body 63, and cushioning materials 73a, 73b, 75a, 75b. A recessed part 68 for storing the lid body is provided on a surface of the main body 61, and recessed parts 70a, 70b for storing piezoelectric elements are provided on a bottom face of the recessed part 68 for storing the lid body. The lid body 63 is provided in the recessed part 68 for storing the lid body. The piezoelectric elements 51, 57 of the first and second guide shafts 11, 13 are provided in the recessed parts 70a, 70b for storing piezoelectric elements, and shafts 49, 55 are held in through-holes 67a, 67b in the lid body 63.
