PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, preventing deterioration of image quality due to color other than a desired color contained in toner. SOLUTION: An image read part 50 reads image data of the respective colors of RGB from an original document and transmits it to a first conversion part 54(A) of a color conversion part 54. The first conversion part 54(A) converts the image data of the respective colors of RGB read by the image read part 50 into image signals of L*a*b color space not dependent on a device. Subsequently, an UCR processing part 55 applies UCR processing to the image data. After that, a correction part 56 performs correction based on the color of magnetic substance of toner using a coefficient of multiplication and an addition/subtraction constant of a non-transparence table stored in a storage part 58, and an image formation unit 40 forms an image based on the corrected image data.
