PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for fitting and removing wheel tires for a vehicle which assures faster and less tiring wheel movement operations. SOLUTION: This machine includes a structure supporting a wheel rim clamping/rotating means, a tool supported by the structure, and a wheel lifting means. The lifting means is provided with a first framework that defines a horizontal support surface, and the framework can move between a lowered position, in which it surrounds the clamping/rotating means, and a raised position, in which it is higher than the means. The lifting means is provided with a second framework with a resting portion and which is connected to and rotates along the structure, and a moving means moving between a first configuration, in which the first framework is in the lowered position and the resting portion of the second framework is lower than and at right angles to the first framework, and a second configuration, in which the first framework is in the raised position and the resting portion of the second framework is substantially coplanar with the support surface.
