FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves electrolyte sampling, sample preparation to X-ray diffraction and same X-ray analysis to evaluate the cryolite ratio. X-ray diffraction is combined with recording fluorescence intensity of analytic lines Na and Al with using a goniometre, while mass fraction of aluminium oxide is derived from the relation: CAl2O3=1.89 (CAl-1.176 CNa/Ko), where: CAl2O3 is a mass fraction of aluminium oxide in a sample, %; CAl is a mass fraction of element aluminium in the sample resulted from fluorescence intensity of analytic line Al, %; CNa is a mass fraction of element sodium in the sample resulted from fluorescence intensity of analytic line Na, %; Ko is the molar ratio of sodium fluoride to aluminium fluoride symbolically named the cryolite ratio, standard units. Fluorescence intensity of analytic lines Na and Al is recorded by two arranged monochromators. ^ EFFECT: high-accurate and efficient aluminium oxide content in electrolysis bath, higher performance characteristics of electrolysis. ^ 2 cl, 1 tbl |
