#CMT# #/CMT# The detector has a pyroelectric chip (9) that is larger than a sensitive element (3). The chip is provided with upper and lower electrodes (2, 7) and is fastened outside the sensitive element, where the electrodes have a width of 1 millimeter. A bond wire (1) and a contact (8) of the electrode (7) lie outside the element. A defined additional mass (4) made of conductive adhesive is applied on a surface of the chip. The additional mass exhibits a total weight of 0.1 to 0.5 milligrams.
