A driving apparatus for a plasma display panel is provided to increase the reliability of the display by preventing thermal and electrical deterioration of a switching device through a diode. A sustain voltage feed port(430) supplies a sustain voltage to an electrode of a plasma display panel. A base voltage supply unit(440) supplies a base voltage to an electrode, and an energy recovery unit(420) stores electrical energy in the energy storage(400). An energy source(410) supplies the energy stored in the energy storage to the electrode, and an inductor(450) is arranged at the energy storage, the energy recovery unit and between the electrodes. A diode(480) is arranged between the inductor unit, the energy recovery unit, and the sustain voltage source generating the sustain voltage. |
