A method for deregistering a terminal in a mobile WiMax(Worldwide interoperability for Microwave access) system is provided to simplify a terminal deregistering method by power off of the terminal to reduce the amount of transceiving messages, thereby reducing the use of wireless resources. A base station receives a terminal deregistration request message transmitted from a terminal(408). The base station transmits a terminal registration state update request message to an ASN-GW(Access Service Node Gateway)(410). The base station deletes information related to the terminal of the base station(412). The ASN-GW deletes the information related to the terminal in the ASN-GW(414). A terminal deregistering method is made of only internal operations of the base station and the ASN-GW and message transceiving due to an uplink. |
