A PACKAGING LAMINATE FOR A RETORTABLE PACKAGING CONTAINER

A packaging laminate comprises a core layer of paper or paperboard, a first polypropylene-based outer liquid-tight coating on the inside of laminate, a second polypropylene-based outer liquid-tight coating on the outside of laminate, an aluminum foil serving as gas barrier between the core layer and first coating, and a polar polymer layer serving as barrier against acidic compounds and disposed between the aluminum foil and first coating. - Independent claims are also included for: - (1) a packaging container fold formed from the above packaging laminate, and filled with food and sealed; and - (2) production of packaging container with contents of food, displaying long shelf-life and treated by retorting, where filling the food into a packaging container is carried out at at least 80 deg. C but less than 100 deg. C.
