A refractory composite is provided to produce a refractory of high quality by using waste sliding-gate refractory used in continuous casting facilities and to reduce costs for burying the waste refractories. A refractory composite comprises 20~50 parts by weight of a crushed material of waste sliding-gate refractory generated in continuous casting facilities; 10~40 parts by weight of any one of alumina or bauxite clinker; 15~20 parts by weight of alumina powder; 3~10 parts by weight of calcined alumina powder; and 1~3 parts by weight of silica flower. The refractory composite further comprises sodium hexametaphosphate of 0.05~0.2 parts by weight and/or citric acid of .01~0.04 parts by weight.
