The method involves providing a cartridge (5) containing carbon-dioxide gas stored in liquid form, where the gas is stored in the cartridge at a pressure above 5.2 bar, and transporting the gas from the cartridge to an area of a container (1) containing liquor. The delivery of the gas from the cartridge is initiated independently of the opening of a delivery opening for the liquid from the container. An independent claim is also included for a container containing a liquid.
