PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting/stopping switch device whose size can be reduced. SOLUTION: In a vehicle having a one-push start system, a press operation type (push operation type) engine switch 33 operated during engine starting/stopping operation is installed in the vicinity of a steering wheel at a driver seat. An extension part 57 extended along the movement direction of a switch operation part 35 is formed on the back face of the switch operation part 35 serving as an operation portion of the engine switch 33, and a contactless switch operation detecting part 36 (magnetometric sensor in this invention) is provided between the extension part 57 and a substrate 50.
