<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint component 100 usable for a component part 102 for an artificial prosthetic item for a shoulder joint usable for carrying out shoulder part arthroplasty. <P>SOLUTION: The joint component 100 is at least partly engaged in a cavity 104 formed in a joint vault 106. The joint component 100 includes a main body 112 comprising a stem part 114 to be at least partly inserted into the cavity 104 formed in the joint vault 106. The stem part 114 is in cooperative relation with an inner wall 116 of the cavity 104 formed in the joint vault 106.
